So here is my garden post.  It has been some hard work but I think we're finally there! It's crazy to look out at what we've done and think that it was once just a huge field of weeds!!  I know our neighbors must look at us and think that we've gone overboard and that it's just too much work for a silly garden but I think it's going to be worth it!  It's totally water automated and almost completely weed free!  Yay!  So I wrote a bit on some of the pics but it might be hard to see.  Sorry!

So there are about 5 or 6 other small families is our ward that have 'rented' out a bed or two so they can garden too!  It's been really fun working on this all together and getting to know some people better.  A lot of unexpected blessings have come out of the garden already and it's come together just perfectly.  The pathways are all lined with woodchips that we didn't ever have to pay for! And the watering system is of course just genius! Thanks honey!

I took some photos last night while we were out just doing some finishing touches but I think it's a go!  Everything works and the water came in and overflowed the pond!  Thank goodness for our tank!

Filling up! About to overflow!!

This is the pump that takes the water from the pond to the tank which then takes it down to the garden!

Right side is community garden, left side ours!

That little area with the pond and beyond will be for the ducks....coming soon!
I thought this was a cool pic!

Our crazy cool solar panel to charge the battery for the timers!

My silly husband playing with the garden timers

See the cute little stream? That's how the plants get watered.. :)

Now we just have to solve the problem of the pesky little earwigs! They come out at night and have a feast on our little plants! UGh!  I think we might borrow our bishops ducks and send them through the garden to decimate all the little buggers.  It'll be like a child let loose in a candy store for them!

I have learned a lot about gardening but mostly what an amazing blessing it is.  It's such a testimony of the love of our Heavenly Father.  What a simple simple blessing that brings such grand benefits.

I will be posting more pics as our garden grows!
