Saturday was a very productive day.  Not only did we get to finish my curtains and such but we also started and got very far on finishing the duck area and we harvested a ton of tomatoes to can!  The ducks will be hatched around the 17th and then be overnighted to us in a box as 1 day old ducklings!  So excited to see them!  We ordered 10 of them! Yay!  I will take lots of pictures when that package arrives! I am so excited to see what Ben thinks of the little cuties!  So since this area will soon be inhabited we thought we should finish it up.  Which means more caging around the perimeter, gates and more chicken wire above so raccoon don't have a feast of our ducks.  Also figuring out their watering system (and no they can't just drink the pond water...it will be very dirty) and the hutch!  My dad and David fashioned it with a lift gate so there is easy access to gather the eggs!

And here is a little shot of Ben attacking the bucket of tomatoes.  He loves tomatoes from the garden!

The spaghetti squash and tomatoes harvested for the day.  And this is only maybe 1/3 of the spaghetti squash out there!  If you want some come on over!!!

Time to can!!

We tried a different way than normal for this first batch but I think it is going to make really good spaghetti sauce and salsa!  Yum!!  Feels so good to have this all done! Now we just wait for the rest of the tomatoes to ripen and we're on again!

Sunday was also a very fun and interesting day!  My aunt Cathy is the 'caretaker' if you will of the Days of 47 Royalty, 3 beautiful amazing girls and she and my parents arranged for them to speak in our sacrament meeting this week!  So before church we got to have them over for lunch and visit for a while.  They took a walk out to the garden and then we had sandwiches from the garden!  Well with cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden with our homemade applesauce and garden grown watermelon.  Yum!  I didn't think to take a picture but here is one from online.  They were so cute and fun and they did a great job speaking about families, about pioneers and about the gospel.
