Christmas has come and gone...and this year it came and went much differently than any one before.  This year I was 'thrown' (willingly) into the role of 'Mother'/Santa for a beautiful 6 year old girl.  I had no idea that the excitement at the thought of Christmas morning would be replaced with nervousness!  I was actually nervous about whether or not Lucie would like what 'Santa' brought her. Well my worrying was all in vain because it turns out that 6 year olds are very easy to please (duh). My mom kept telling me this... and even though we heard the words, "Oh, I have this!" just a few times she still had a smile on her face the whole time!

We started out with a Christmas Eve Nativity re-enactment and Lucie was our angel.
Then it was time for Christmas cookies!

On Christmas morning Lucie woke us up with the all too logical and smart statement of, "Well get up! Isn't Christmas about the kids coming in and waking up the parents early?'  This was at exactly 6:13 am.  We tried to put her off for about and hour and a half which she actually was able to do!  When the time came it was all about Lucie.  It went by very quickly and I guess that's how it goes when the opener of the presents is very efficient.

The rest of the day was full of movies and games and chillin' with the family.

The best news is that it isn't over!  Lots and lots more fun to come!  Stay tuned and Happy New Year!!!
