Birth of Benjamin Clark Sherwood 2-6-12

We had a great weekend in Moab!  I will let the photos do most the talking.  

First we went to a local zoo and had fun looking at the exotic animals...heehee, it was one of those places that just had the most random things to look at all around the property grounds.  And lucky for Lucie, the gift shop had a necklace that she's wanted "Her whole life!"  That was fun.

Then it was time for a movie.  Once of Lucie's favorite things to do!  In fact when we were at the hotel eating lunch waiting to go to the movie at the movie theatre, Lucie says, "Can we watch a movie?" heehee that girl makes me laugh.  Anyway, we watched 'Rango' on the big screen and it was....interesting.  I honestly don't know if I will ever see that movie again.  Cute but weird.  

Well after our movie we had to go back to the 'sand box'.  This is a massive dune just outside Moab on the side of the road that you can stop at and have fun with!  We have done this once before with Lucie and now she always wants to go to the 'sand box'!!

That's them at the very top!  It took them a while to get there but they made it!

After that we went on a walk along a pretty trail across a bridge and ended up finding a fun place to skip rocks.  David tried teaching Lucie how to skip rocks but we got about as far as her just picking up rock and throwing them as far as she could.  We'll keep working on that...mostly she just collected pretty rocks for her rock collection.

Our night pretty much ended with us going out to dinner at a fun local restaurant.  And the cherry on top was the fresh Italian Gelato for dessert! Yum!!  Oh and of course another movie from Redbox before bedtime. :) 

We then got to enjoy church with Lucie and hesitantly returned her back home.

We sure do love Lucie and hope to see her more often in the future!
